My name is Jacob. I have been working with knots for many years. As a child, I learned
how to make plastic lace lanyard keychains and became obsessed with it. I made hundreds of lanyards, which grew in complexity as I grew in experience.
Years later, while living in Dubai, I was inspired by a decorative tapestry on the wall of a cafe. It was a macrame piece. The piece of art left a lasting impression with me.
The next time I visited the United States, I ordered some macrame yarn and started learning. The process came naturally to me because it was already familiar from making lanyards.
As soon as I displayed my first set of wall hangings, people immediately offered to commission me. Since then, I have perfected the quality of my creations and I now sell more than wall decoration.
