Before I moved to the Middle East I lived in the greenest part of the Netherlands. Forests surround my little village there, and I always loved to walk or cycle on those seemingly endless lanes in the forest. It calms your thoughts to hear the birds singing their songs of joy. Depending on the season you see different kinds of flowers growing. It's a beautiful memory I have of my hometown!
Now I live in Amman, the capital city of Jordan. There is not much green here, but I do remember the green of my hometown! Also, the lack of green areas makes me appreciate periodic outings to nearby forest reserves!
